Mushq Nuvera Silk – Reina Rouge Unstitched Raw Silk Suit

Reina Rouge is the magenta in the Mushq Nuvera Silk collection — the most saturated colour in the line and the one that reads strongest under evening light. It is a 3-piece unstitched raw silk set, sourced and verified as an authentic Mushq design.

This is one of the four fully worked shirts in the collection: embroidered, sequinned raw silk across the front, back and sleeves, with no plain dyed panel anywhere on the shirt. It also carries the densest finishing detail of the ten — two front necklines, front and back border, sleeves border, two front and back laces, two sleeves laces and a side slit, plus hand-embellished neckline tassels and three separate crochet laces for the sleeves, daman and neckline.

The trouser is dyed raw silk, and the dupatta is embroidered sequinned chiffon with a 4-side silk border. As across the collection, the chiffon dupatta is a deliberate counterweight to the raw silk — it drapes and moves where the shirt and trouser hold their structure, and with a shirt this heavily worked a lighter dupatta keeps the outfit from becoming overwhelming.

Magenta is a mehndi and mayun colour more than a nikah one. It photographs vividly, holds its intensity indoors, and does not need much jewellery to carry it — gold or kundan in moderation is usually enough. Between this and Royal Affair's green, both fully worked, the choice comes down to colour rather than coverage.

As with every Aangan product, Reina Rouge is unstitched — the shirt, trouser and dupatta arrive as cut fabric pieces for your own tailor to stitch to your measurements. With work across the whole shirt, agree panel and border placement with your tailor before cutting. Aangan does not operate a stitching service and this is not a pret or ready-to-wear piece.
