The Embellishment

Rather than a single hand-embellished neckline, this design supplies a separate band in organza alongside the yoke and back neckline, so the neck opening is framed on three separate pieces. Rust orange is a warm, saturated shade that shifts noticeably under different light - richer under warm indoor lamps, more terracotta in daylight - and the organza finishing keeps the edges crisp against it.

Because the sleeves are raw silk and the body is chiffon, your tailor is joining two fabrics with different weights and behaviours.
