Maria B M Prints Winter Vol 1 2026: Fabrics, Designs and How to Style Them
Share
Winter dressing in India is rarely about heavy wool. For most of the country it means fabrics that feel warmer and more substantial than summer lawn, but still comfortable indoors, at work and through long family gatherings. That is exactly the space the Maria B M Prints Winter Vol 1 collection fills. It brings ten unstitched designs, each in two colourways, across cambric, linen, dobby linen and Irish linen. This guide walks through the fabrics, the standout designs and how to choose and style the right suit for your season.
What is Maria B M Prints Winter Vol 1?
M Prints is Maria B's print-led line, known for wearable designs that sit between everyday basics and heavier formal wear. The Winter Vol 1 edit for 2026 follows the same idea but moves to cooler-weather fabrics. Every suit is a 3-piece unstitched set: a shirt (or Anarkali dress fabric), a trouser and a dupatta or shawl, along with embroidered trims such as pattis, patches, borders or lace. At Aangan, each design is priced at ₹6,800, which places the whole collection in our Pakistani suits from ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 range.
The four fabrics, explained
Cambric
Cambric is a closely woven cotton with a soft, crisp hand. It is heavier than lawn and keeps its shape, so kurtas look neat all day, yet it stays breathable in heated rooms. Most designs in the collection use cambric, including the embossed MPT-3103-A in sage green and the print-on-print MPT-3102-B in purple.
Linen
Linen has more body and a slightly textured surface. It relaxes into a comfortable drape and holds colour well, which makes it a reliable choice for daily winter wear. Try the MPT-3101-A in maroon, with its velvet patti and lace, or the simpler MPT-3105-A in green.
Dobby linen
Dobby linen has a small pattern woven into the fabric itself, giving texture even in a solid colour. In MPT-3110 it carries embroidery on the front and sleeves over a dyed base, a more understated look that suits office wear. See the MPT-3110-A in maroon.
Irish linen
Irish linen is the densest fabric in the collection, with a structured, warm feel. MPT-3108 pairs it with a printed herringbone shawl instead of a dupatta, making it the most cold-weather-ready choice. It comes in white and blue and sea green.
Designs worth a closer look
3D embossed prints
Three designs (MPT-3103, MPT-3104 and MPT-3108) use a 3D embossed print on the front and sleeves. The raised texture catches light and gives the print depth without heavy embroidery. MPT-3104 adds an embroidered ghera for the hem and a pearl patti, which makes the lilac MPT-3104-A one of the dressier options in the edit.
The Anarkali
MPT-3107 is the only Anarkali-style design. It comes with printed cambric Anarkali dress fabric, embroidered pearl dori patches and a printed silk dupatta, so it works well for weddings as a guest and festive evenings. It is available in brown and blue.
3D butterflies
MPT-3106 has an embroidered patti with raised 3D butterflies and an embroidered border, a playful detail on a coordinated printed shirt and trouser. The mustard and rust colourways both feel very seasonal.
How to choose the right suit
Start with where you will wear it most. For daily office wear, cambric designs with a dyed trouser, such as MPT-3109 in lilac or green, are easy to repeat and restyle. For festive lunches and family functions, look at designs with pearl or velvet detailing, such as MPT-3101 and MPT-3104. If you live somewhere properly cold, the Irish linen suit with its shawl is the practical pick. If you want one dressier piece for the season, choose the Anarkali.
Next, think about dupatta type. Silk dupattas (MPT-3101, MPT-3102 and MPT-3107) add sheen and feel more formal. Chiffon dupattas keep the look light. The herringbone shawl on MPT-3108 adds warmth.
Tailoring tips for unstitched winter suits
Because every suit arrives unstitched, the final look depends on your tailor. A few simple habits help. Lay out trims, patches and pattis before cutting so their placement shapes the neckline and hem. Ask for linen and dobby linen to be pre-washed or steamed, since they can shrink slightly. Press embossed fabric and 3D details from the reverse side with a cloth in between. For the Anarkali, share the intended silhouette before any cutting so the panels and flare are planned properly.
Styling ideas for Indian winters
Earthy shades such as brown, rust and mustard pair well with antique gold jewellery and tan juttis. Cooler shades such as sea green, lilac and blue look fresh with silver or pearls. For evenings, add a longer earring and a deeper lip. On colder days, layer a plain shawl or a fitted jacket over cambric designs. Keep the dupatta or shawl as the statement and let the rest of the look stay simple.
Caring for your suit
All designs in the collection are dry clean only. Dry cleaning protects the print, the dye and any embroidery or embellishment. Store suits folded in breathable cotton bags, away from direct sunlight.
